creation. following years at ralph lauren, abc home and nike, designer christine chang was inspired to design children’s apparel with a distinct point of view. while boy is rooted in california’s surf and skate culture, girl stems from a simple, european sensibility. chang’s strongest influences remain her native californian heritage of effortless styling coupled with an appreciation for fine craftsmanship.
recognition. spring 2012, boy+girl’s first season, garnered serious industry attention with stores including barneys new york, abc home and sweet william. today the line continues to be found at tastemaker shops, while being featured in the pages of prestigious editorials including vogue and elle magazine. spring 2014 marked the debut of boy+girl mens, created exclusively for steven alan stores. spring 2015 opens up men’s distribution with stores including fred segal japan and WISM japan.
