Elwood was founded in 1996 in Los Angeles, USA, in association with cult skateboarder Sal Barbier. It was the first time that denims for skaters were designed in an original and qualitative way and Elwood became immediately an international success. In 2005 Vice Magazine USA named Elwood as the best denim brand in front of many famous denim brands. Since then, it is not only worn by legendary skateboarders like Anthony Pappalardo and Kenny Anderson but also by celebrities such as Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and Beck.
In 2008, Elwood joined the "1% for the planet" association and invested in eco-friendly materials such as bamboo, organic cotton and recycled yarns in order to offer sophisticated shirts, T-shirts, jackets, hoodies and cardigans. Elwood is now considered as an authentic vintage brand thanks to its 13 years heritage and is sold in both streetwear boutiques and skate shops.
