BRAND + CRAFTSMANSHIP
In the heart of the Italian Alps, at the finest and possibly oldest hat factory in the world (est. 1755), master artisans hand-make Filù hats with an uncompromising attention to detail, still using many of the same production techniques and machinery of a bygone era.
Filùhats’ straws originate as expertly hand-woven Ecuadorian Panamas, Italian Milans and Japanese Toyos, crafted from the finest natural materials in their countries of origin.
The hat bodies are then sent to the factory in Italy where some are hand-dipped into centuries-old dying vats to ensure rich, original colors. Next they are blocked into essentially classic design shapes that are given an original, edgy twist. Finally they are adorned with the most unique, luxurious ribbons and stitching.
The result is a collection of incredibly fine, rare hats that provide very chic sun protection. Some can even be folded or rolled up for convenient traveling.
Filù hats are for the connoisseur who is truly passionate about rare craftsmanship and original style.
