Here Today Here Tomorrow is a fair trade fashion label that has been committed to social and environmental values from the very start. At the heart of our collections is the consideration of ethical production, beautiful materials and contemporary design.
HTHT is best known for fair trade hand made knitwear featuring bold geometric patterns and playful and colour combinations. All made by fair trade artisans in Nepal using 100% wool. Learn more of the story behind the making of these pieces.

Our Philosophy
Here Today Here Tomorrow is a collaborative fashion design label with a studio shop in London. We have a holistic approach to sustainability that celebrates diversity and recognizes that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We are proud to showcase carefully selected brands in our shop, each of them chosen for their pioneering approaches to sustainable clothing, accessory and jewellery design.
Now in its fifth season, our own Here Today Here Tomorrow fair trade label continues to grow. We offer a range of hand knitted 100% wool clothing and accessories and are currently developing a new range of handwoven cotton womenswear and bags. These collections embody our continued commitment to sustainable design practices in the following ways:
We are very proud to work with artisans from the Association for Craft Producers (ACP) in Kathmandu. ACP is a not-for-profit fair trade organisation certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO).
They provide opportunities for low income, primarily female artisans in 15 different districts of Nepal. Each product in our collections is handmade and provides the artisan who made it with economic and social support.
We only use 100% sheeps wool in our knitwear, a natural, warm, durable, biodegradable and highly sustainable fibre. Wool is also naturally antimicrobial, more colourfast and harder wearing than most fibres so these garments will last longer.
We choose to source wool where good animal welfare is practiced and our wool is certified mulesing-free. Mulesing is a controversial and cruel procedure carried out in many countries, in particular with merino sheep, to prevent an infection called flystrike. Our wool is sourced from New Zealand where this practise is effectively banned so we can ensure than more humane methods are used instead.
Nestled at the foot of the Himalayas, ACP takes careful and deliberate steps to preserve their local environment. This includes the use of an in-house waste water treatment plant which prevents any harmful effluent from entering local waterways.
The central Kathmandu workshops also make use of an innovative rainwater harvesting system which takes advantage of the abundance of water during the rainy season and reduces pressure on the local water demand during the dry season.
Our wool is dyed by ACP in Kathmandu using low chemical AZO-free dyes.
