Parajumpers is a project deriving from the cooperation between Ape&Partners, an Italy-based company with over 50 years of experience in clothes designing and manufacturing, and Massimo Rossetti, who has many years of experience as a designer of outerwear, and also as an importer of American brands for the Italian market.
A meeting with a serving member of the 210th Rescue Squadron in an ill-famed bar in Anchorage, Alaska provided inspiration for Massimo Rossetti's latest creation, a jacket which has become, like the name says, a real “masterpiece”, sold all around the world and unanimously recognized as an icon of the sportswear style.
The men of the 210th Rescue Squadron, based in Anchorage, Alaska, are highly trained for extreme rescues and recoveries in the wildest, most remote and hostile corners of the Globe. They are the PJs – short for Parajumpers.
The collaboration started in 2006, when the first 3 masterpiece styles were designed: Gobi, Denali, Kodiak. They are still among the most successful pieces of the collection, even after 10 years from the birth of the brand! Over the years, the collection has evolved and grown to more than 100 pieces per season, keeping the spirit and the original soul of the very first styles, but experimenting new materials and designs. Nowadays, the Parajumpers coats can still be distinguished for a number of details that are unique, (pockets, zippers, combinations of colors and fabrics) and the typical Italian fit, looking light and very modern.
Furthermore, thanks to the attention to quality and to their timeless style, Parajumpers coats remain comfortable, interesting and modern even after 20 years.
