The Italo-Swiss designer Irene Tortora and the Japanese designer Masashi Ono, after completing their education at the Fashion and Costume Academy in Rome and after important experiences among the Top firms in the industry such as Valentino Fashion Group , combined their talents in an international duo they called Res Nullius.
The main purpose is to blend the rigorous shapes coming from the Japanese fashion with the Italian proportion.
The result is Sed Etiam , an independent label 100% made in Italy launched in 2011, harmonizing geometric shape and a veiled sensuality. Widely recognized and popular amongst fashion insiders, Sed Etiam embraces the challenge to bring the intellectual and academic view of fashion to a wider audience by polishing lines and cutting frills.
Classical elements are transformed into contemporary elements, through the European tailoring and thanks to the meticulous choice of materials.
In fact, Sed Etiam not only is 100% made in Italy but it is also what we can define a “0 KM” of fashion for what concerns fabrics and manufacturing.
The inspiration, instead, is absolutely cosmopolitan: natural result of the mixing of three different cultures that blend into a single sartorial model.
Sed Etiam interprets a modern woman, distinctly chic in every details and flawless in her look. Femininity goes along with impalpable sheerness, always a leit motive in the brand spirit.
The designers give the woman a dynamic and effortlessly chic look with their boxy, smart and easily wearable collections.
