ROKKER Jeans. Style, protection and comfort in one.

There is no shortage of motorcycle clothing suppliers and, in most cases, they offer a decent level of protection. But when it comes to style and individuality, they all make big compromises. And that’s precisely where THE ROKKER COMPANY comes in. Anyone familiar with the motorcycle market may ask themselves what Swiss entrepreneurs Kai Glatt (36) and Michael Kuratli (39) were aiming to do by producing their own protective biker clothing. The fact that they themselves have been bikers for many years and have customised their own bikes counts for very little when it comes to making an impact in the hard-fought motorcycle clothing market.

Yet it was clear to the company’s founders early on that there was a gap to be filled.

After a long outing on their motorbikes in 2006, the two friends decided they no longer wanted to negotiate the ups and downs of the alpine roads in normal jeans, but wanted something that both looked good and offered protection. At the time, though, they were simply unable to find anything that matched their tastes even to a limited extent. Initially, they just wanted to make some cool, yet protective trousers for themselves, but it quickly became clear that they were not the only ones with these requirements and so, without further ado, they founded the ROKKER COMPANY and produced a small starter series.

As the partners themselves explain: “Our aim is to bring fashionable style to the motorcycle business, without having to compromise on protection, functionality and wearer comfort. After all, protective clothing can only function effectively if it is worn consistently and willingly.” This declaration of intent is considered a serious matter, and is also part of the vision to become an exclusive name in motorcycle clothing and get established as an unmistakable brand in and outside of Europe within ten years.

ROKKER Jeans – the unique product.
ROKKER Jeans were developed and designed for trend-conscious bikers who care about individuality and style, but by no means want to miss out on the highest level of protection and safety.
This protection and safety is provided by the inside of the jeans, which consists of 100% schoeller®-dynatec protective fabric produced by Schoeller® Textiles in Sevelen, Switzerland. Thanks to this innovative technology, the jeans guarantee protection from abrasion and heat at up to 100 km/h.

The idea of incorporating a protective function into the inside makes it possible to create a fashionable style with the actual jeans, i.e. the outer skin. The cut and wash are therefore a match for leading jeans manufacturers.

Bikers used to hunt in vain for fashionable jeans that were comfortable to wear, but which offered protection from the wind, rain or cold and could be washed easily at 40 degrees. And now they’re here, thanks to the combination of the schoeller®-dynatec inner lining with the jeans style of the outer layer.

The company’s philosophy is also matched by the presentation to the customer, because an exclusive product also needs unique packaging. The models for men are therefore supplied in a smart wooden box, whilst women riders get their new ROKKER jeans in an exclusive handbag. Of course these packages wouldn’t be complete without a booklet on the ROKKER COMPANY and a ROKKER T-shirt.


The collection gets bigger.

For 2014 ROKKER motorcycle trousers are already available in 15 varieties, of which ten are for men and five for women. One model worthy of particular mention is the new Red Selvage Raw, a pair of narrow-cut motorcycle jeans with the finest selvage raw denim as an outer layer.

The Rokker Company is continuously developing its trousers and has now supplemented its BLACK JACK model by launching a jacket and vest as well as a protective biking shirt for warmer days. The entire BLACK JACK line is characterised by the use of 100% schoeller®-dynatec as an outer layer. The whole thing is refined with the innovative and prizewinning coldblack® layer, which reflects UV rays and heat so that the garment acts almost like white linen in the dazzling sun.
