Vanessa Seward was born in Buenos Aires in 1969 and grew up in London before moving to Paris, where she has lived since 1981.
After leaving the Studio Berçot, she joined Karl Lagerfeld's team at Chanel and worked there for nine years. Then, she spent two years alongside Tom Ford at Yves Saint Laurent, before moving on to Loris Azzaro. She brillantly relaunched this couture house with her inventive vision. Hailed by the press and buyers worldwide, she dressed many celebrities, including Natalie Portman, Kristen Stewart, Michelle Williams, Nicole Kidman and Jemima Khan.
She has been collaborating with A.P.C. since winter 2012, designing a capsule collection each season.
On the silver screen, she added her touch to films by Valérie Donzelli (Main dans la main) and created costumes for Valérie Lemercier as well as for the cast of Les Parapluies de Cherbourg at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
2014 marked a turning point in her career with the launch of her own brand, supported by A.P.C. and its founder Jean Touitou. Her first collection for Fall-Winter 2015-16 was presented on March 10th 2015.
