ZWEI: The bags which make you feel good

It all started in late 2007 when the two former schoolmates Heiko Müller and Florian Craciun bumped into each other again in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt. Heiko was the owner and bicycle developer of a German bike company called Riese und Müller, Florian a bag designer for well-known bag labels. One year later they got together to set up ZWEI, with their first collection for bicycles. Following the moderate success of the first range, they got designers Annika Nötzel and Katrin Immesberger on board in 2009. With their “Mademoiselle” range of functional bags for women, the company achieved its proper breakthrough.
It isn‘t just the bags the company makes that are outstanding; the company‘s sales channels are just as unorthodox. With two thirds of the company‘s 24 employees from other areas and fields in design, none of them go by the textbook or sales strategies. The focus is on providing customers with proper consulting and support. While this form of customer relationship management seems unusual today, for ZWEI it is perfectly normal, and many customers rate their unconventional manner.
The company has the right companion for all of the various demands of everyday life. The bags come in cheerful colours, paired with high-quality material and excellent functionality, including practical details, like a removeable
inner bag, a key chain or a hidden exterior pocket. With their straight forms, the bag designs are timeless in character; as reliable and durable as their products are, ZWEI doesn‘t run ranges by seasons. The fast delivery times are also notable; for the spring and autumn trade fairs, all bags are in stock and can be delivered immediately.
Today, the brand features more than 13 collections and more than 500 pieces. ZWEI is sold in more then 1,500 outlets around the world. Since starting business, the company‘s revenues have risen tenfold every three years. In 2011, the success of the bags with their seal of quality “Design made in Germany” reached fans as far away as Japan. The future for ZWEI is all about colour, combined with German design and functionality. A brand apart from other bag makers, consumers can already look forward to a whole new range of products.
